Description

Opegrapha atra Persoon, 1794

Photograph of a herbarium specimen taken through a dissecting microscope (x27) showing lirellae.

This specimen of Opegrapha atra was growing on bark in an old Picea rubens Sarg. forest on Roque Island, Washington County, Maine, USA (Lat. 44o35' N,   Long. 67o32' W).

Collected by E.C. Uebel (No. U-540, 12 Jul 2005); identification determined by I.M. Brodo and E.C. Uebel.
